RACHA implements the Multisectoral Food and Nutrition Security (MUSEFO) project and finded by GIZ  is looking for a consultant with creative and knowledgeable composers who can sing as well develop Music Video (MV) to work with its health communication team and related technical teams on maternal and child health, nutrition sensitive hygiene, agriculture and other related topics. The composer’s responsibilities include collaborating with other project teams to create appropriate scores, ensembles, and arrangements, and providing direction and advice during rehearsals. Analyze scripts and specifications to develop appropriate soundtracks for each requested and attractive joyful songs  with the MV on health, nutrition-sensitive hygiene, agriculture and other related topics to convey powerful messages to the communities and public.

Job Title          :           Composer and Singer (1 position)

Duty Station    :           Head Quarter Office, Phnom Penh

Report to         :           Executive Director

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyzing topics  and specifications and liaising with directors and other technical teams and stakeholders to gather information before the composition process;
• Composing, recording, and performing musical scores and arrangements that complement the shows;
• Attending rehearsals or studio sessions and providing creative input to community youth  comedians and other related teams;
• Scheduling meetings with the team to discuss project requirements;
• Receiving feedback and completing composition revisions;
• Communicating any issues to the supervisor in a timely manner;
• Traveling to the project sites to meet communities and all related stakeholders  or relocating for the duration of the assignment;
• Networking with other professionals and researching classical as well as modern compositions;
• Regularly attend the local youth comedian sessions to gain new ideas, and inspire and support their performance.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma of music composition or equivalent would be preferred,
• A portfolio of existing work would be a plus;
• Competence in one or more instruments;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to follow directions and collaborate with all teams;
• Good multitasking ability;
• Disciplined with excellent time management skills.
