RACHA-JA-012-06/21-PE&D

 

The Reproductive and Child Health Alliance (RACHA) funded by the Planète Enfants & Développement (PE&D) under the JSDF Grant No TF0B2469 will be hosting its project activity focusing on the implementation of the Community- Based Childcare (CBCC) for garment factory workers based in Kampong Speu province and possibly extend it to other provinces. RACHA offering excellent employment opportunities for dedicated, hardworking, innovative and committed professionals with requisite skills and knowledge in capacity building, training on health, nutrition- sensitive  hygiene, food safety, and first aid  to CBCC caregivers, food suppliers or cooks, women in reproductive age, pregnant and lactating women, their husbands and household caregivers. RACHA in Cambodia is seeking for the qualified candidates to fill in the below position:

 

Job Title:         CBCC Provincial Coordinator (1 position)

Duty Station:      Kampong Speu Province

Report to:         Project Director

Project summary: This community-based childcare project will first focus in Kampong Speu province   and possibly extend to other provinces, where the areas host a high concentration of garment factories whose workers live in their own communities and the targets beneficiaries can access to the  community-based information and services.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

The Community- Based Childcare (CBCC) Provincial Coordinator (PC) will be responsible for the implementation of the package of the project activities under component 2: Capacity-Building of CBCC Workers and Families and ensure that the expected outputs would be reached according with the set time frame. The Terms of Reference (ToR ) are as follows:

Implementation and coordination of all the project’s activities according to the project’s assignment. The PC is responsible for the high-quality achievement of the project’s expected outputs;

Join the interview panel to  recruit, manage and support the project team in conducting the community activities;

Commitment to and regular contacts with relevant stakeholders including the PE&D team and its implementing partners as well as with the provincial related departments and local authorities  including Commune Councillors (CC), Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC);

Provide training on health, nutrition, hygiene and food safety and conduct site visits and on-the-job coaching to the CBCC  caregivers, food suppliers/cooks and support them in their reporting;

Involve in developing  complementary feeding  menus for infants and train food suppliers/cooks on food safety, food handling and hygiene and conduct site visit to follow  up the hygienic environment of the food suppliers/cooks;

Provide capacity building or strengthening to CCWC, Commune Clerks and Village Health Support Group (VHSG), CBCC caregivers, food supplies/cooks on health, nutrition, hygiene, and food safety; 

Financial management and follow-up (with the Finance Team Leader (planning and control of the expenses, according to the approved  budget );

Involve in conducting assessments and  project data collection, write activity reports based on the donor requirement ;

Perform other tasks as assigned by the project/management team;

 

Person Specification

The candidates for the CBCC PC position should have the following qualifications:

        • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, Infants Health or Community Development;
        • 5 years of experience within project development, with operations and fieldwork responsibilities;
        • Strong interest in Child Development/Early Childhood Education;
        • Good interpersonal skills, commitment and rigor;
        • Computer literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
        • Languages: Khmer, English would be an asset;

 

 

 

Job Title:              CBCC Community Facilitator (1 position)

Duty Station:           Kampong Speu Province

Report to:              Provincial Coordinator

 

Roles and Responsibilities

The Community-Based Childcare (CBCC) Community Facilitator (CF) will be responsible for the implementation of the package of the project activities under component 2: Capacity-Building of CBCC Workers and Families funded by the Planète Enfants & Développement (PE&D) and ensure that the expected outputs would be reached in according with the set timeframe. The Terms of Reference (ToR) are as follows:

        • Implementation and coordination of all the project’s activities according to the project’s assignment;
  • Commitment to and regular contacts with relevant stakeholders including CBCC project team as well as local authorities, Commune Counsellors (CC), Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC);
  • Register, enrol, train and coordinate with the Village Health Support Group (VHSG) and other volunteers to prepare work plans and conduct health education on nutrition and nutrition –sentitive hygiene;
  • Work closely in collaboration with CC, CCWC, and VHSG to ensure that nutrition and hygiene messages will be  disseminated to citizen in the target villages;
  • Participate in the training to  food suppliers/cooks on food safety, food handling and hygiene;
  • Assist Provincial Coordinator (PC) in providing capacity building/ strengthening  to CCWC, Commune Clerks and VHSG on health, nutrition and hygiene;
  • Monitoring and  Follow up and encourage VHSGs to work as planned;
  •  
  • Involve in data collection, prepare monthly activity workplan, budget plan  and submit to PC;
  • Summary weekly activity report and submit to PC;
  • Support other activities requested by supervisor (Take photos, shot video film that related to the project);
  • Perform other tasks as and when required by the project, donor and supervisors;

 

Person Specification

The candidates for the CBCC Community Facilitator position should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Health, Education, Infants Health or Community Development;
  • Three years of experience within project operations and fieldwork responsibilities;
  • Strong interest in Child Development/Early Childhood Education;
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, commitment and rigor;
  • Computer literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Languages: Khmer, English would be an asset;
